MIGUU EXPEDITIONS
What does "Miguu" mean?
MIGUU In Swahili means “MANY FEET” or “LEGS”, to convey that the beginning of any journey begins with your legs.
Miguu president Charles Mpanda and his team have been organizing exciting safaris adventures to Tanzania. Curated wildlife and Tanzania experiences for families, photographers, birdwatchers, nature lovers, groups of friends, NGOs, adventurers for close to 20 years.
A Partnership
Miguu Expeditions is a partnership between Charles Mpanda from Tanzania, and Dondi Joseph and Corinne Joseph. The adventurous couple first traveled to to Serengeti for the Crossing of the Mara River in August 2018, which was also when they first met Charles Mpanda.
Charles told them that the Birthing of the Wildebeests was even more spectacular, and convinced them to return in 2019. Dondi and Corinne were in awe, and returned in 2021 and 2022. In total, they have witnessed the Birthday 3 times, and the crossing 18 times.
During the COVID19 lockdowns, they continued to communicate, and explored the idea of partnering. Dondi and Corinne also saw an opportunity to support Charles, the tribes and the crew, providing financial assistance and even for schooling.
In 2023, after developing closer relationships, Charles decided to incorporate Miguu with Dondi and Corinne.
