This time of the year allows adventurers to follow a comprehensive itinerary beginning with an arrival in Arusha and a visit to the "Elephants Paradise" of Tarangire National Park. The journey continues with multiple days of exploration in Ndutu to witness the migration's new calves and concludes in the heart of the Serengeti with exclusive activities like Black Rhino tracking in the Moru Kopjes and a visit to the iconic "Pride Rock.

After a delicious early breakfast at Ngare Sero, we will enjoy a relaxing day in Arusha. Depending on your interests and ,ming you may choose to explore local markets, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre or the Maasai Market to do some shopping and discover authen,c Tanzanian craGs, art, and souvenirs or simply unwind by the pool or spa at Ngare Sero. Op,onal ac,vi,es such a visit to nearby aHrac,ons can also be arranged upon request. You may want to visit the Serval Wildlife Sanctuary (a 2-hour drive) to pet and feed zebra, giraffe, wildebeests, eland, serval cats and lions. Serval is a lot of fun! Selfies with the animals are compulsory in Serval.

After a leisurely breakfast, we will set off for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 3-hour drive of 130 km. The road trip will offer captivating views of northern Tanzania's landscapes and glimpses of Maasai village life along the way. Upon arrival and after park registration, we'll begin our game drive through Tarangire's iconic baobab-dotted plains and riverine woodlands. Tarangire is renowned for hosting Tanzania's largest elephant population. The park also shelters rare species like the fringed-eared oryx, greater kudu, and ashy starling. With over 500 bird species and frequent sightings of lions, leopards, zebras, buffalo and wildebeests, Tarangire promises a rich and rewarding safari experience. Tarangire is known as "Elephants Paradise" so expect relatively close encounters with these majestic beasts. In the late afternoon, we'll check in to your safari camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay, to unwind and embrace the serenity of your first night under the wild African stars.

After an early breakfast, we'll begin a half-day game drive in Tarangire, and after lunch, set off on a scenic 3-hour 130km drive towards the charming town Karatu nestled in the fertile Ngorongoro Highlands where we will check in at our next lodge for in time for sundowners, dinner and a 2- night stay.

We'll begin the early morning with breakfast, then drive from the Lodge to Lake Eyasi which is approximately 60-80 km and typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours by road, depending on road conditions especially when the last stretch near Lake Eyasi turns bumpy. At Eyasi you'll meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. You will hear their stories and experience their traditional practices, including fire-making and hunting, and gain insights into their unique click language and way of life. After the Hadzabe you will visit the nearby Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths known for crafting handmade tools and ornaments using ancient methods. The Datoga village is located a short distance from the Hadzabe making it convenient to explore in one trip. After these fun experiences, we'll return to your lodge for a late lunch and relaxation time.

We'll start our day early - with a delicious breakfast - before driving to and into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive to the crater is approximately 15 km and will take 30-45 minutes. Our game drive will last 3 to 4 hours, giving you ample time to explore the spectacular landscapes and encounter the diverse wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater boasts the highest density of mammalian predators in Africa so expect sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and if lucky, the critically endangered Black Rhino. Other species like the African golden cat, serval cat, and wild dogs are also occasionally seen here. We'll pause for a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by breath taking views and wildlife, and later, continue to our next destination for relaxation dinner and overnight.

We will enjoy a more relaxed pace at Lake Masek Tented Lodge with options for early morning and late afternoon game drives around the area or you can leave before sunrise and come back for sunset - the choice is yours. We will explore varied landscapes, from the shores of Lake Ndutu to the surrounding savannah, where you'll encounter a wide range of wildlife. We will have breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Highlands and observe huge herds of wildebeest and their new calves standing and walking minutes after birth, antelope, and zebra with many opportunities to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas and maybe leopards. Plus, giraffe, elephants and many, many more animals and birds. And with luck we may encounter the Ndutu Pride of over 23 lions. Fingers crossed. Midday will include alfresco picnics or lunch at the Lodge, providing a perfect setting to reflect on your experiences in the wild. The lodge offers an incredible opportunity to relax, enjoy the quiet beauty of the landscape, and partake in optional activities, such as cultural visits or scenic walks. In the evenings, we will head back to Masek Tented Lodge, where you'll enjoy a leisurely dinner over fun conversation. The Lodge provides a tranquil escape. At night in your glamping tent, listen for the sounds of the African night. You are deep in nature's doorstep.

After breakfast at Lake Masek Tented Lodge, you'll drive north towards Central Serengeti, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This 4-5hour journey (approx. 100-120 km) offers incredible landscapes, Maasai village life, and wildlife sightings along the way. We will enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival at Kubukubu Tented Luxury Lodge, we settle into your comfortable tented suite and relax to the soothing sounds of the Serengeti with a dinner under the stars.

Today we will explore the wildlife-rich Heart of the Serengeti, renowned for its classic savannah landscapes and year-round game-viewing opportunities. With an early start, depart for an exclusive Black Rhino Tracking excursion in the Moru Kopjes, located approximately 40-50 km southwest of Seronera (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours' drive depending on wildlife activity along the route). The Moru area is one of the few regions in the Serengeti where Eastern Black Rhinos can still be seen in the wild, protected under strict conservation efforts. This is a rare and meaningful opportunity to observe one of Africa's most endangered species in its natural habitat. After rhino tracking, we'll head out into the golden plains in search of lions lounging on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, and massive herds of cape buffalo, and elephants moving gracefully through the woodlands. This region is a predator stronghold, making it one of the best places in Africa to witness thrilling hunts and dramatic wildlife interactions. With your picnic lunch packed, you'll spend the full day immersed in the rhythms of the wild, stopping at key areas like the Seronera River Valley, known for its resident leopard population. We will also visit "Pride Rock", the famous setting for Simba's Pride in Disney's the "Lion King". As the sun begins to set, we will return to our Lodge for well-deserved sundowners and dinner, surrounded by the sounds of the wild Serengeti at night.

After a peaceful morning and a leisurely breakfast, will check out from Kubukubu and drive to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Arusha which takes approximately 1 hour. On arrival we'll be met and transferred to the Cultural Heritage Centre for a relaxed lunch and if you like, an afternoon of exploring African arts and crafts, and shopping. This iconic destination is more than just a craft market it's a museum-like showcase of Tanzanian culture, art, and design.
You'll browse an impressive selection of high-quality Tanzanian crafts, gemstones (including tanzanite), carvings, fabrics, and fine African art in the gallery. We'll enjoy a leisurely lunch at the on-site restaurant, surrounded by lush gardens and local sculptures. Later you'll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight.
As your Tanzanian adventure comes to a close, you'll take with your memories of untamed beauty, heartfelt hospitality, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Note: Our departure time from Arusha will depend on the departure of your international flight time.
